With his first release of the year, “My Dearest Friend,” Manatee Commune sets the tone with laid-back, melodic vibes. The arrangement of lush synthscapes, mobile basslines, and sweeping arpeggios give life to the groove of the track. The release generates imagery of sparkly, sun-soaked afternoons and the natural beauty of nature itself. When discussing “My Dearest Friend,” the artist shared, “Nostalgia drives a lot of my music making and this track is kind of the culmination of my dearest childhood memories. This is one of the few tracks I’ve made that actually captures those moments and I’m pumped to share it with the world.”
Grant Eadie, hailing from the Pacific Northwest, has made a name for himself under the guise of Manatee Commune. Having made his debut only three years ago, the artist has already performed at SXSW, Bonnaroo, What The Festival, Decibel, Bumbershoot and Capitol Hill Block Party, as well as tours with Odesza, Slow Magic, Emancipator and Blockhead. His connection with nature is what fuels his emotionally creative approach to electronic music, paving a path for a uniquely stunning album later this year.
