Multifaceted producer Manic Focus aka John “JmaC” McCarten is known for his roots in funk, soul, and hip-hop. He’s impressed many with his multi-genre sound that often includes soulful blues mixed with heavy-hitting bass, creating quite the unique combo.

With six albums under his belt, Manic Focus continues to impress with his original, sample-free recordings. His latest original track, “Back From The Future” comes to us from no other than experimental bass label, WAKAAN.

The track lures listeners in at the start of the track with hype vocals that stick around throughout the song. A quick build leads to a funky baseline with punchy drums. The distorted synth work and groovy melodic twist after the second drop is the real energy source. You can imagine the crowd going crazy as this song plays out on mainstage at a festival.
