Manila Killa continues his single streak as things heat up around his upcoming tour and album. “Desire,” is the last of the singles and could be the best we have heard yet. The track showcases some pleasantly introverted vibes, bringing forth outstanding emotional moments that shake up the soul. The drop comes in and throws in a house aura that fits the mood brilliantly. Overall, the vibe just feels like a Manila Killa sound, falling with the spectrum of concepts that we have broadly heard from the artist before.
“With ‘Desire,’ I wanted to showcase a darker, moodier, emotional side of my production. I started with some lush piano chords which I wanted to contrast with a deeper, grittier electronic-driven drop. The pieces began to fall into place when Madi sent me the initial vocal demo she wrote over it. She wrote about leaving something very unhealthy, which can be applied to any sort of situation, whether it be a relationship or a part of life. It’s the feeling of a newfound freedom that she focused on, which translated into trusting your gut even if leaving the situation is deemed bittersweet. The song is intimate yet powerful, and I hope that everyone who listens can relate and understand what we were going for.”

If the album is anything like the singles, this will be one extensive experience not to be skipped over. With the tour set up to coincide with the LP, the perfect combination to get fans hype on the album and satisfy them on the live front is totally set up. The global electronic scene just wouldn’t be the same without Manila Killa, he keeps the vision going and that’s a great thing.
