Mark Jenkyns and Andre Salmon close out February with the new funky fresh collab, Where We Live EP.
You can always count on DJ and producer Mark Jenkyns to lay down dirty and delicious grooves on the dancefloor. With an innate aptitude for understanding what moves the most hardcore of revelers, from the UK to Ibiza and beyond, this Newcastle native seems to know the exact recipe needed to concoct stellar tech-house stompers time and again. Now, he’s brought rising Ecuadorian talent Andre Salmon on board in his latest pursuit to deliver another killer groover. The two first met at the legendary Lost Beach club in Ecuador, before joining forces to produce their intoxicating track “Hey Honey,” found on the B-side of Mark Jenkyn’s 2017 Sirens EP.
Out now on Resonance Records, Where We Live is a 3-track EP that will have you bumping from beginning to end. Kicking things off is the title track, offering a hypnotic bassline that’s easy to get lost in. The groove continues to inflict your body with “MFB,” featuring scattered, futuristic synths with infectious percussion across an 8-minute marathon of a track that relentlessly builds on the bassline. Last, but not least, is the Apollo 84 remix of “Where We Live.” This rendition breathes new life into the track with a tribal flair and the producer’s trademark stylings.
All in all, we’re feeling every inch of Mark Jenkyns ad Andre Salmon’s Where We Live EP, and we guarantee you will too.
