It’s been a couple of weeks since Matisse & Sadko’s collab with Raiden materialized into a lovely progressive house anthem called “Light Me Up”, out on Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings. The track is a perfect mix of Matisse & Sadko’s energy and Raiden’s sound, topped with soulful vocals that turn the entire song into something else. With a hint of nostalgy but enough power to fit into today’s scene, “Light Me Up” is another proof that the progressive house genre is alive and well.
But enough about the track, let’s take a look at the video. With a combination of black & white and colorful images, it is like our feelings were put into images. Picturing the loneliness we feel even in the biggest crowd, the search for ourselves and for our significant other and the numbness we dive into from time to time, the video was shot in Seoul and features the three producers as well as a female actress. We can’t help but play it on repeat to hold on to the feeling but be careful, Matisse, Sadko and Raiden’s track might change your mood entirely.
Matisse & Sadko’s resume includes collabs with Steve Angello on “SLVR” and Martin Garrix on “Forever”, while Raiden’s summer has a huge success with the releases of “Hit the Cluj x Fedde Le Grand and “Keep my Light On” with Dubvision.
