British drum and bass heavyweights Matrix & Futurebound have released their latest single from their forthcoming album on Viper Recordings.
With their second artist album on the horizon, the duo is building anticipation for a record over ten years in the making. Their sound has always jumped across the drum and bass sub-genres and they’re taking this opportunity to truly show their range.
Previous singles include the hectic “Mystery Machine” and cheeky “The Wall,” featuring Donald Trump himself (a recording of course). But “Live Another Day” takes on a different demeanor.
By literally slowing down the pace (the track clocks in at a meandering 140 beats per minute), Matrix & Futurebound show off one of their new approaches to drum and bass. Accompanied by Alex Hepburn, “Live Another Day” is a dynamic and powerful song that not only shouts an uplifting message but has the triumphant rhythms to back it up.
Featuring a breaks filled bass-line and powerfully optimistic chords, all three parties have poured all their good feelings into this song and it’s sure to motivate listeners to get up and get going.
Matrix & Futurebound will be bouncing around the United States and Canada for the remainder of June and will be heading back to Europe come July. You can take a look at their Facebook page for tour dates here.
Also keep an eye out for Mystery Machine which will be released sometime this autumn (Northern Hemisphere).
