Widely renowned for his proficiency with remixing, up-and-coming Indiana-based producer, Matt Dash, has just dropped a striking bootleg remix of Daddy’s Groove’s lyrical tune, “Stellar”, as a free download. Matt’s signature sound, evocatively reminiscent of the more classic style of House music, is clearly evident in this remix, with its array of smooth, lush synths, and steady kick drum fusing harmoniously with the uplifting vocals of the original. A refreshing play on the key features of the original track, Matt’s individual flare is emphasized throughout the remix, having seamlessly incorporated his own elements to give the track a refreshing dose of vivacity.
Prospects are looking very bright for the 22-year-old producer, having already played opening sets for some noteworthy DJs and producers including Laidback Luke, Topher Jones, and Derrick Carter, and has even earned lauds from Judge Jules, who played his edit of Above & Beyond’s “Walter White” on his Global Warmup radio show for three consecutive weeks. Matt Dash is undoubtedly becoming increasingly prominent in the dance music scene, with his remix of Lorde’s hit song “Team” also having turned heads after its release two months ago.
