Picking up some great traction over at Underdog Records is the firecracker of an EP WHATCHU LOOKIN’ AT, which has been ably produced by Canadian bass artist Matt Doe.
He has been scouted by Protohype for this label release, and the two pooled their talents to make one of the tracks, the epic soundscape “Hold Me Close.” As well as this sits a thundering title track and the tempo-swapping “Kickin’ Back,” which is a strong homage to the 90s classic rave sound.
Matt Doe shares: “If there’s one message I could send out with this EP it’s that no matter how anxious you get trying different things in a single track, there’s always one thing you should remember, and it’s to have fun creating! Music can lead anywhere, and we shouldn’t be too stressed about being too linear with a story and vibe. Go with whatever idea you have and execute to the fullest with whatever inspiration you’ve got and great things will happen.”
