Maya Jane Coles has released yet more music in the form of an EP called Weak/Werk in the run up to the release of her second LP Take Flight on the 25th of August. This LP follows the world-renowned Comfort which came out in 2013 and became critically acclaimed across the world very quickly for a debut album.
The first track ‘Weak’ is Maya through and through. With her drum programming and echoing with the addition of vocals, this takes her classic sound to another level. ‘Werk’ is for the dancefloor with percussion and a pumping bassline, this track will be remixed time and time again for sure.
Weak/Werk comes after the release of ‘Won’t Let You Down’, which received widespread acclaim from the likes of Pete Tong. This EP teaser comes at the perfect time in Maya Jane Coles’ career, especially after appearances at Coachella, Ushuaia and Pacha Ibiza this year. Alongside this, she secured the supporting slot on Depeche Mode’s European tour.
