Fresh out of Milan, Italy these next generation producers, Merk & Kremont, are exactly what you’ve been missing on your EDM lineup. From Future House to Bouncy Techno to Electro-Pop, these guys cover it all but do so in a way that is exceedingly original and unique. Their most recent single “Sad Story (Out of Luck)” was released only a month ago on Spinnin’ Records and has already received over 100k hits. The enticing lyrics have a way of pulling you in almost as soon as you hear English R&B artist, Ady Suleiman, sing them. The song has an extremely catchy chorus paired with the smoothest beat along with a perfectly deep baseline. If the vocals don’t already paint a beautifully twisted picture in your head, just wait till you see these visuals.
The music video comes from director Daniel Brown who is known for bringing dreamy fantasies to life in his artwork; this one is truly a masterpiece. Keeping the theme of a sad story alive, it captures the meaning of the brokenness and heartbreak curated from unfortunate life events in the most colorful and lively way possible. Aside from the riveting scenes of a female long boarder skating around the streets of South Korea, the video also has the most creative ending with an unexpected twist.
