It’s been a good week for soulful collabs. We just got a dose of Grizmatik’s first release and now Pretty Lights Music artists Break Science and Michal Menert combine for a trio of funky soulectro.
Menert in my opinion doesn’t get nearly enough credit or support in comparison to the rest of the PLM artists like Gramatik, Paper Diamond, or even Break Science for that matter, and I’m not sure why. He’s the king of vinyl sampling and mellow groove infusion; Pretty Lights’ himself might not be where he is today without Menert’s contributions during the early days. His influence on this EP is, in my opinion, dominant, but I’m interested to hear your opinion.
