Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th promise to be one of the more memorable events in PLM’s illustrious history. For these two nights, fans will unite with their undying love for all things electro-soul surrounded by the Rocky Mountains under the unblemished Colorado sky. As outlined previously, there’s a fantastic array of afterparties to attend both nights. Four to be exact. But none we are looking forward to more than when Michal Menert, Marcelo Moxy and Elephant Wrecking Ball take over the Sheridan Opera House Saturday night.
A .4 mile walk is all that separates you from Telluride Town Park and the 250 capacity opera house. In there fans should be more than ready to go, as the last night of Pretty Lights will be fresh in everyone’s mind and one last night of music will quench the thirst of even the most diehard of fans. Personally, there’s nowhere else we’d rather spend the last night than with one half of the original Pretty Lights duo. Menert is sure to lay down plenty of the fresh new tracks off Space Jazz, sprinkle in some old classics, and bring that patented high energy and emotion to his sets that fans have grown to love him for.
Super Best Records compadre Marcelo Moxy as well as Elephant Wrecking Ball round out the night in fine form. Bringing more of that genre-pushing groove, (and in the case of Elephant Wrecking Ball some straight beautiful jazz) this night is shaping up as a picture perfect way to close the madness of the weekend. Unfortunately tickets are sold out for this show, but you can always try your luck in person or online in the event pages. Remember to try your best not to enable scalpers, as overpriced secondhand tickets will more than likely come down to Earth as we inch closer to the 29th.
