Milkman has been in the EDM scene for quite some time now, beginning with mash-ups and moving into his own production. His latest release, “Machines and Dreams” solidifies the producer as a unique and dominant force in the genre, containing 10 tracks that each showcase his uncanny ability to combine uplifting melodies with electro synths. Having just come off an epic performance at Electric Daisy Carnival: New York and having another set this weekend at the famed Electric Forest, its safe to say that Milkman, with this release, has reached prominence with mainstream EDM.
“Machine and Dreams” features 10 tracks that are really very different. From hard-hitting electro tracks like “Origins” and “Get Weird”, to light house tracks like “Our World” and “Neon Eyes”, there is something for everyone in this album. I personally am a fan of his new electro direction; I’ve always been used to Milkman’s house tracks, but he seems to have an uncanny ability to combine electro into his songs without it being too much. The results are electro tracks that are hard-hitting but still very danceable. You can download this entire album off iTunes or get it for free off his website.
