Tearing it up recently all along the northeast with his Planet Cognac compadres Space Jesus and Esseks, M!NT is making himself a force to be reckoned with through a unique fusion of bass and hip-hop. Not to be confused with cheesy festival trap, the Brooklyn native seems to have a knack for the minimal, beautiful side of the genre.

Collaborating with high school bud PWEST, you can sense the synergy between the two on this one; the beats are never too forced, and the lyricism is never too in-your-face. Once you click play, a well drawn out intro leads up to a certified mean muggin’ beat dropped at the 1:10 mark. Rewind a few months and you’ll remember M!NT’s coming out party at Burning Man, laying down a set touching from the smoothest of hip-hop to the funkiest of bass.
