MitiS has been slowly dropping hints about an upcoming project and we now have two tracks from it, building our excitement for the final release. His new single, “Homesick” is packed full of swelling builds and heartfelt lyrics that will have you deep in the feels. Earlier this year, MitiS got to be the first release for Ophelia Records with his first single, “Try”, paired with RØRY‘s powerful vocals. Many fans were blown away at the Insomniac Park and Rave series with MitiS headlining, where the rising producer dropped these emotive tunes and more unreleased tracks that have us reeling with anticipation.
Getting into the track itself, “Homesick” has quickly been one of his most tweeted tracks with lyrics like, “You know where my heart is / I’m only a thousand miles away”. Gentle piano notes echo into a pool of SOUNDR’s vocals and we are coaxed in further by the subtle uptick of the beat. Synths begin to strike through the surface and even though our friends and loved ones may be a thousand miles away, MitiS inspiring arpeggio’s and rolling drops makes us feel inspired to keep going. This track is one of those that we can’t get out of our heads, and we don’t want to.
