MitiS Kicks Off 2021 for Ophelia with “Try” Feat. RØRY + Music Video

MitiS wanted 2021 to start off on a bright, positive, and melodic bass note. We have been getting sneak peeks at music to be released throughout the past few months thanks to MitiS Monday’s on Twitch (MitiS Mob, where you at?). The Born label head, Joseph Torre, is easily heralded as one of the original melodic dubstep artists that captured our hearts since his 2013 EP, Born, and continued to release an EP every year since. Living up to his legendary status, when he lost his entire album after his computer crashed, he created ‘Til the End from scratch and really delivered an elevated sound that has continued to push his discography to new heights. In 2019, his Shattered EP was heavily on repeat and was accompanied with shameless screaming of the lyrics anywhere, anytime especially on his 21 stop tour.

Torre has continued to stay busy throughout the past year, with unforgettable releases like his remix of Seven Lions’ “Only Now” and his collaboration on “Wait” with Crystal Skies and Monika Santucci as well as his own double-sided release “All I Have”. And now, MitiS got to be the first to have a release on Seven Lions‘ label, Ophelia Records, this year with his latest single, “Try”. We slowly fade into his soundscapes with a heartfelt guitar melody before RØRY’s ethereal voice smoothes in. Beautiful implements of piano chords, echoing rhythms, and that classic MitiS drop that takes hold of our hearts every time are all wrapped around uplifting lyrics that motivate us to make this year different.
