Collaboration is the name of the game in the wide world of electronic music, and long-time house and techno producer Marc Kinchen or MK is not one to shy away from putting his own Detroit-influenced twist on things.
“World To Me” originally a deep house track by Tchami featuring vocals from Luke James was taken in and reworked in a heavier, tech-house direction to create an entirely fresh take on the already popular track. To create his new take on the track, Kinchen opted to reduce the bounce of Tchami’s bassline in favor of a more techno-influenced, syncopated line that opens up new levels of groove throughout the track. By switching up the placement of James’ vocals, MK creates an eerie, spaced out soundscape that the track’s vocal elements can echo within.
