In lieu of his highly anticipated album release, Moody Good aka Eddie Jefferys, has gifted us with his remix of “Fall in Love”. Previously of the dubstep duo 16bit, Jefferys has brought the hip-hop infused sound to his solo project while maintaining the energy and production of his previous work. For reasons unspecified, his album has been pushed back to be released on June 2nd on MTA Records, and June 3rd on OWSLA.
Moody prefers to produce with an dark and brooding tone, and he showcases that inclination on “Fall in Love”. One can see that he has no fear of giants by taking on the challenge of reworking a song by someone as legendary as J Dilla.
The track begins with the original relaxed instrumental before launching you into the dark and heaviness that is Moody’s mind. He contrasts the relaxed, cool instrumental with his massive dupstep sound without warning.
