Last year many attendees took to social media to express their frustrations with the wait times and chaos that ensued trying to enter Moonrise festival. Sets were missed, people were hot and the line seemed to be going no where fast. There are always those unforeseen circumstances that can cause glitches in the way festivals are able to run whether it be a small detail missed or a completely unavoidable and uncontrollable situation such as weather, but it’s the response that festivals take in order to fix it that resonate with fans the most. Moonrise has already answered with an amazingly stacked lineup and today they took to cocial media to announce new and welcome improvements to avoid many of the issues that have occurred years prior. Improved Entrances – In order to avoid backed up check in lines Moonrise will be implementing the following:
- Early Wrist Band Pick Up – This year, for the first time ever, you can stop by Pimlico starting Thursday to pick up your wristbands for entry. Picking your wristband up early will ensure the fastest possible entry into the event. Stay tuned for the location and time information on when you can pick up your wristbands.
- More Entrances – For Moonrise 2016 we have added a 2nd full entrance in to the event. Stay tuned for the full site map coming at the end of July.
- More Information Booths – each entry (Both Main Gates + VIP) will have an information booth right when you walk in. Make sure to stop by and get the answers to any questions you may have.
Better Food – One of our team’s favorite parts of Moonrise Festival is the food we have on site. This year we have sifted through hundreds of applications from vendors from around the region to find the best vendors we could find. Stay tuned for our full food announcement coming late July.
Improved Décor – we’re excited to announce we have brought in one of the countries top décor teams to help design the décor for this year’s Moonrise Festival. We will have some amazing site installations both for your viewing pleasure as well as several interactive and experiential pieces.
The Return of the Star Team – No Moonrise would be complete without the Star Team and this year’s Star Team will be bigger and better than ever. Look out for our army of volunteers distributing water, earplugs, and helping keep everyone hydrated and safe. If you have any problems at the festival do not hesitate to ask a star team volunteer.
Improved Facilities – Every year we listen to feedback from attendees to improve everyone’s festival experience and we heard you loud and clear – more bathrooms & more water stations!
