Moonrise Festival 2018 is just a few more sleeps away. As we prepare our schedules, pack our bags, and get ready for one of the most major weekends of the summer on the east coast, there’s one industry Veteran we wanted to call out as a must-see artist this year. Why? Because 2018 is the year of Chris Lake.
This Grammy-nominated producer first made a splash back in 2002 with his remix of The Prodigy’s “Climbatize.” Fast forward ten years to the house music aficianado finding a new decade of success beginning with his Ultra Records release of “Sundown,” followed by his killer hits “Stranger” and “Stomper.” Last year saw Chris Lake launch his new label Black Book Records, while releasing chart-topping hits like “Operator (Ring Ring),” “I Want You” and “Nothing Better.”
The dawn of a new year served another helping of delicious singles. In 2018, Chris Lake has already delivered massive tunes like “Turn Off The Lights,” “Lose My Mind,” “Close Your Eyes,” and “Y.O.D.O.” It should be no surprise to anyone that when festival season rolled around a few months ago, Chris Lake was present on every ticket. From Ultra Music Festival to closing the mainstage at EDC Las Vegas, to hitting the high seas on Holy Ship, it’s safe to say that he has dominated the scene. And that domination continues next weekend at Moonrise Festival.
For those of you who have yet to see this tech house maven in real life, you’re in for a treat. His sets are hot and heavy with down right dirty beats, funky vibes, and an infectious energy that’ll force your feet to stomp through the concrete.
In preparation of yet another fire performance, we’ve compiled the ultimate Chris Lake Spotify playlist below. This Brit is set to hit the Celestial stage on Saturday, August 11th at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. He’ll be joined by more than 80 artists over the two-day festival, including DJ Snake, Kaskade, Excision, Diplo, and more, who will take to the decks of the Stellar stage, Lunar stage, and Solar tent.
Tickets are still available here, so commit and let’s lose our minds!
