After a smashing success with the mau5trap signed Living the Phantasm album, Morgin Madison has done his due-diligence and put together a remix EP to expand the theme of the captivating LP. The collection of tracks is called Living the Phantasm (The Remixes) and features KEETZ, RIBB[]N, ASHE, Low Poly, and Speaker Honey, along with a ‘chill mix’ included of “Feels Like,” from Morgin Madison himself.
The album originally had a dark, experimental, and house-like experience that embodied it’s totality. This aura is certainly maintained in the remix, yet brought to life in various ways through fresh tempo structures, trippy creative ideas, and a healthy curation from Madison of what to show off as the final bunch that will make the cut.
Some personal highlights include, “Free DLC (Low Poly Remix),” and “Start Again, (Ribb[]n Remix).” The former showcasing some celestial vibes mixed with trippy bass effects and the ladder going a more progressive direction with things, sharing a more extended, gradual flow than what the original offered.
There’s plenty more to experience in Living the Phantasm (The Remixes), a hardy bunch of talents coming together to make some grand and time-testing music happen.
