Mr. FijiWiji and Direct Release New Future Track “Entropy”

Mr. FijiWiji and Direct are both from Canadian record label Monstercat and recently put out a killer collaboration called “Entropy” via Soundcloud. While Mr. FijiWiji is known for his chill, ambient, deep tunes, Direct actually hits a variety of different sounds but is mainly known for his dubstep and electro/progressive house. Together they created a future house and disco-esque deep tune.

Entropy has a fun bounce feeling and layers high pitched tech beats over a deep bassline. My favorite part of the song was a pause in the middle for a beautiful, slow piano solo. It’s always so refreshing to hear a classic instrument in the middle of an upbeat, electronic dance song.

Entropy isn’t the duo’s first track. “Hysteria” came out in 2013 and has a similar piano break but its much more progressive and ambient. They seem to really experiment with sounds when they get together, they don’t stick to any type of genre or restrictions which always makes the music so much more genuine and interesting.
