Mt Sierra is bringing a fresh house spin to the masses via his new season of releases, once of which has debuted earlier in 2021, “Mt. Joel.” August 2021 now reveals his sophomore release of the year “When It Rains.” Compared to “Mt. Joel,” there a uplifting vigor and charm that can be sensed in this one. Rhythmic melody and slurring synths giving the track a happier, more elated feel. The vocal work driving the personality and sensuality deep into the track. The instrumental and verses together harmoniously intertwine to make a greater whole.
The direction of the sound is inspired by two main areas: The rave scene of the late 2000’s as well as the changes that have occurred in more modern times within the house/tech scene. A graduate of Icon Collective, a prestigious music school based out of LA, Mt. Sierra has been working on his direction, brand, and sound for over a year to bring forth the end results we hear today.

“‘When It Rains’ is a special song, to me, in that it was the last song I completed before moving to Los Angeles. With that being said, it does a brilliant job of showcasing where I was at musically, as well as creatively then. Mind you, this places the creation of this song at around August of 2019.
