Despite promising leads on the identity of this obscure musical maverick, Zhu insists on remaining anonymous. Leaving the credit of their work to just a dark desolate website since revealing their first SoundCloud post, “Superfriends” less than a month ago. Now they’re back with their latest cryptic release, “Faded” and as much as the curiosity kills, as long as they keep putting out these funky beats their audience is only going to grow.
While the world of music is buzzing about the enigma behind these esoteric releases, the artist continues to make a point of remaining in the shadows. Zhu’s entire social media was wiped clean before they began publishing these works so if you check out their Twitter or Facebook pages there is little to be learned aside from a brief bio explaining the premise behind their secrecy.

Regardless of who, why or where – good music is good music and Zhu is making some undeniably good music right now. So forget what you heard and just groove. I’m sure the face behind this z-shaped logo will show in due time.
