Europe’s exposure and influence on dance music culture has paved the way to the beats we are now consuming here in the States; but at the same time the American version of “music festival” (such as ULTRA or EDC) is far, far different than that of the “musical gatherings” that take place deep in the motherland of 128 beats per minute. It should be on every edm fan’s bucket list to travel to Europe and experience the roots of dance music culture. Next year we will be attending Tomorrowland, Creamfields and Mysterylands.
