This coming Memorial Day Weekend we will witness the second installment of Mysteryland USA. After a successful first year on the legendary Woodstock grounds, The Mysteryland team has come back with an extremely diverse and unique line up with artists covering the entire spectrum of electronic music.
One stand out artist who will be gracing the mainstage on Saturday is Berlin producer/DJ Claptone. After a stunning BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix debut, Claptone has been having an extraordinary 2015 thus far. His remix of Gregory Porter’s “Liquid Spirit” is currently sitting at number four spot in the Beatport Top 100 after spending weeks at the number one spot.
The Claptone sound is great blend of past and present. He keeps classical instrument sounds that are lost in much of dance music and combines them with the groovy synths and bass we’ve become accustomed to today; his style is truly unique and unmatched by any other producer. It would be hard for any music lover to not appreciate the fine craftsmanship that comes from Claptone.
During his live performances you are kept in a constant groove that keeps your spirits at ease. To get a taste of what his live sets will be like, check out his Clapcast Radio Show on his soundcloud. You can hear everything from Marvin Gaye and James Brown to the deep sounds we are familiar with from today’s music.
With the sounds of the underground becoming more relevant in the dance music scene today, you can expect Claptone’s 6:20-7:20pm mainstage performance on Saturday to be packed with loads of people grooving out to his deep and soulful sounds. If your looking to broaden your musical horizons, be sure to check Claptone out next weekend, we promise you will not be disappointed.
