Mysteryland USA organizers continue to outdo themselves with an impressive list of firsts, all to take place during the renowned festival this Memorial Day Weekend in Bethel Woods, NY. Making its U.S. debut at the legendary Woodstock grounds, Mysteryland USA aims to foster a unique festival experience, and one of the many ways they plan to do so is by going completely cashless, a measure unprecedented in the history of North American multi-day music festivals.
Each festival attendee will be issued a chip-embedded wristband that will act as form of scan-able currency. The only form of payment accepted by on-site vendors and merchandisers, funds can be added to the wristband pre-festival, as well as during the event. Top-up stations will be installed across the festival site, accepting credit cards, debit cards and cash to replenish a low balance. Any funds left over after the weekend will be automatically refunded to the associated bank account.
Those who are worried about the security of their accounts can rest assured, as Intellix’s IntelliPay system is certified as “the world’s most secure closed loop cashless payment system.” By eliminating the need to carry large sums of cash and by shortening vendor queue times, Mysteryland USA’s cashless system will guarantee a seamless festival experience.
don’t regret it
