Nervous Records has gone through many iterations of the music industry – surviving them all. They have brought dozens of artist and hundreds of songs to market through the vehicle of the label, their impact on the music landscape being hard to measure given it’s vastness.
The label has always taken a risk on trying to give new sounds a chance and innovating on the status quo, their base in NYC helping perpetuate the sound discovery process.
The label was founded by father-son duo Sam Weiss (Father) and Michael Weiss in 1991. Today they’ve worked with a plethora of names including Louie Vega, David Morales Darius Syrossian, Tensnake, Monki, Franky Rizardo, Danny Howard and so many more.
The compilation album they’ve dropped to celebrate the label’s 30 year anniversary boasts a combination of original mixes and remixes that add up to 30 tracks in total. The totality of what is within leaving a bit of something for everyone to enjoy.
With 30 years behind them and many more years to come, the future is bright for the staple electronic imprint.
