Last night, the father of the DIRTYBIRD pack took to his social media to suggest it would be in all our best interests to be online at 10am Pacific Coast time today. As usual, he was right.
In celebration of its 15th birthday, DIRTYBIRD has announced its massive lineup of events for this year, including two new festival installations on each side of the country – DIRTYBIRD CampINN in Florida and BIRDHOUSE Festival in Los Angeles.
Claude Vonstroke’s Birdhouse festival will be the first of the two newbies to take flight, touching down in Downtown Los Angeles at Exposition Park, May 9-10. Revelers can expect to see the boss’ favorites in house and techno over the course of a two-day, open-air street fair-themed throwdown filled with corn dogs, carnival games, and all the goods.
DIRTYBIRD then migrates east in September for its new Florida festival on Labor Day weekend. Taking over an entire resort, CampINN will be the ultimate DIRTYBIRD weekender with fans able to take advantage of resort amenities, party poolside, and late-night with their favorite DIRTYBIRD artists, located just steps from the hotel room to the dancefloor.
Beyond its new birthed babies, DIRTYBIRD has planned an entire year of top-notch events. The brand will host five BBQs in the Bay Area, Atlanta, Denver, Brooklyn, and Seattle, and a Players takeover at Club Space in Miami for their annual 18+ hour session at Miami Music Week. During this time in March, the WMC community will get the chance to catch cuts from Claude VonStroke’s much-anticipated Freaks & Beaks LP first-hand.
Claude and his clan will then wrap up this year’s birthday shenanigans at DIRTYBIRD Campout West Coast, October 1-4 at California’s Modesto Reservoir Campgrounds.
Before all mayhem ensues, Claude VonStroke will release his new album Freaks & Beaks alongside a special DIRTYBIRD coffee table book designed by Jeremy Fish that commemorates fifteen years of wild and wonderful memories of the brand and record label. Both are set for release on February 21.
