Nicky Romero Pumps Protocol Records Into The Mainstream With Performance at Electric Zoo

Want to know how to get the crowd going? Try opening your set with one of the years biggest tracks, Toulouse before mixing in your new collaboration with Calvin Harris. Nicky Romero’s electro-house heavy set at Electric Zoo 2012 featured a majority of Romero’s own tracks including Generation 303, Metropolis, a collaboration with Nervo and WTF (a track that does not get played enough).

I labeled Romero as one of the top acts at Electric Zoo and was happy that he didn’t let the main stage completely dictate his set with the some of the same overplayed songs we heard all weekend.
