When reggae and electronic music collide, the product is usually an instant success; so much is the case for Archnemesis’ newest remix of Nicodemus’ ‘Good, Better, Best’. Putting their spin on the 80s-90s dancehall deejay’s tune, they give the track the proper treatment.
If you are unfamiliar with Archnemesis, they are an electro-soul/glitch duo from Charleston, South Carolina, that sound a lot along the likes of Gramatik or GRiZ. However, their recent tracks have found the group leaning towards a harder, glitch-hop style. ‘Good, Better, Best’ epitomizes their transition, containing the electro elements evident in the intro, culminating in a drop filled with various synth work that gets your feet moving and your heart pumping.
The reggae elements of the original track are still very in-tact, contributing to the track’s relaxed vibe in between drops that Archnemesis perfects.
