Underground dance phenom Nicole Moudaber is preparing to release her new ‘The Journey Begins EP’ off of the renowned Swedish Drumcode imprint. The EP is a collaboration with Victor Calderone and will be available worldwide tomorrow (August 20th). Moudaber has begun her new tour starting in Paris, France at the Rex Club, she will be touring through Europe and North America. Her EP aims to combine classic styles with new-school inventiveness to deliver a techno sound that brings energy and emotion to the dancefloor.
The tracks off the EP include “The Journey Begins” and “Vertical Limit”. “The Journey Begins” provides soaring chords that contrast with a dark pulsing groove. But on the b-side “Vertical Limit” features an infectious tribal groove topped with warped vocals. Nigerian-born, Lebanon-raised, and now living in London, Moudaber’s background displays itself through her diverse sound. She has risen quickly through the ranks of the DJ elite. Her popular remixes include versions of Carl Cox’s “Chemistry” and Sian & Mladen Tomec’s “Front Pocket”. Later this year, International Dance Music Award winner Nicole Moudaber is planning to launch her own label MOOD Records, which will house her future releases, along with top talent from around the world.
