Eats Everything – BBC Radio 1 Residency
Every Thursday night, BBC Radio 1 turns the decks over to a rotating cast of deejays and producers. This spot features both new and upcoming talent and established artists. Musicians such as George Fitzgerald and Oliver Heldens are esteemed members of the Residency alumni.
Today we’re going to feature the last two hour show from a fantastic artist in his own right, Eats Everything. Eats Everything is a huge name in the dance music scene. His incredibly varied music taste and sharp wit are on full display in everything he does. His productions are usually eagerly awaited, for good reason, they bump.
This radio show is no different. For the Halloween special, Eats Everything brings out the spoooooky sound effects. More importantly he brings the noise. For his residency shows, he usually plays everything from deep, dark techno to light and bouncy house, with some drum and bass and disco thrown in. It would be impossible to give a succinct overview of the genres he plays because it switches so quickly.
The banter is quality as well. You get to hear Eats Everything bring his trademark humor and hear him having a ball as a radio emcee. The show includes an interview with Honey Dijon at ADE, and finishes with a William Djoko guest mix.
The show is completely packed and will keep you guessing for the full two-hour runtime.
Eats Everything has just released a new single on Relief Records called Loud, you can listen here. He’ll also be playing throughout the United Kingdom and the Netherlands throughout November and December. You can see all of his upcoming events here.
