They say that your surrounds of your youth and the present inspire and reflect one’s artistry. If that’s true, everybody needs to go on vacation in South Africa and then move to Zurich, Switzerland because this new EP Lake Arrowhead is beauty.
The title track above gets the EP started off just right with “Lake Arrowhead”. With an awakening piano build that continues to go throughout the track, with club beat that accompanies it perfectly whether to get you started, or keep you going. “Zambia” hits harder, with an deep club punch, playing with indistinguishable vocals that have you guessing, and yet have you trying to repeat them as best you can.
And lastly with the combination of the vocals of Sons of Maria questioning your presence, “Sleeping In My Bed” delivers with a smooth drop of pouring sand and enchantment, along with a emotional, troubled, and searching house aura that doesn’t stop.
