Direct Action Records has released “Get Down,” the new collaborative single from Randy Perez and Not Yurs. The track brings together two U.S. artists who have each been building their presence through shows, label releases, and consistent contributions to the house and techno space.
“Get Down” is organized around firm percussion, a looping vocal phrase, and a steady low-end pattern. The structure stays simple and clear, allowing the track to move easily through different sections without major shifts. It’s designed for later hours in club settings, where a focused rhythm often works better than a crowded arrangement. Both artists lean into that approach, giving the track a sense of continuity from the first bar to the last.
Randy Perez, based in Arizona, has performed at festivals including Decadence and Goldrush Arizona. He has appeared alongside artists such as Diplo, Jauz, and Sidepiece, and his single “The Motion” received support on Insomniac Radio (Analog). His recent catalog reflects an emphasis on clean, DJ-friendly production.
Not Yurs, a Phoenix duo, have released more than 20 tracks on labels including Vivifier, Black Lizard, and Angry Dog Records. Their shows have taken them to Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Miami, and they have performed with acts like Green Velvet and Layton Giordani. Their sets often balance direct, high-energy house with more driving techno elements.
“Get Down” brings the two artists into a shared sound that reflects their current momentum. With both continuing to release new material and perform
