Released on mau5trap, “SMYL,” is an epic adventure that cannot be boxed into any one genre. The single delivers on some serious sci-fi vibes with an adventurous theme embedded into the nature of the track. Showcasing tasteful synth arpeggios, great arrangement, and a spirited characterization of his music, Notaker once again unleashes a winner of a work to the world on this one.
It’s easy to gather a sense that “SMYL,” pulls influences from around the EDM-genre spectrum to cultivate an essence that’s very much ‘him’ and highly original. The all instrumental verses, (minus some light vocal sampling for added effect), is fiercely captivating with it’s immersive creative direction and impactful feel.
