Buying Tickets
The festival box office, located at the Main Gate (adjacent to parking lot C), will open at 10am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, provided tickets are still available. You will be able to purchase festival passes there. VIP Upgrades and Official Afterparty tickets will be sold inside the festival grounds at the Info Booth.
Upgrade to the VIP Expierance
We strive to make Electric Zoo the memory of a lifetime for everyone who comes through our gates. Sometimes people find after they arrive that they’d like to take it to the next level, with the VIP Experience. Upgrades to VIP will be available at the festival Info Booth. Benefits include:
- Express Festival Entry
- VIP Lounge Access with plush furniture, premium food and cash bar
- Exclusive Viewing Areas at Main Stage East and Main Stage West
- VIP Air Conditioned Bathrooms
- On Site Event Host
Beware Third Party Tickets
In order to protect yourself against purchasing potentially fraudulent tickets, please only purchase tickets from the Electric Zoo website or at the Box Office. If you buy tickets from an unauthorized third party, there is a chance that they are not legitimate tickets and will not be honored for entry to the festival.
There are NO PAPER TICKETS FOR ELECTRIC ZOO. All tickets are in the form of a wristband with an embedded RFID chip that will be scanned for entry. If anyone offers to sell you a festival ticket that looks like a traditional concert ticket, DO NOT PURCHASE IT.
How Will Call Works
If you ordered your pass after the shipping cutoff date of August 20, or if you ordered via International Will Call, or if you’ve been informed that your pass will be at Will Call for some other reason, such as a problem with delivery, your wristband will be waiting for you at Will Call at the festival main box office.
Everyone picking up their wristband at Will Call MUST PRINT OUT THEIR CONFIRMATION EMAIL. If you’re taking the ferry or shuttle bus to the festival, bring your print confirmation email to the ferry or shuttle bus departure point in Manhattan (check your confirmation email to make sure you’re headed to the correct place – either ferry or shuttle bus). Please do be sure to PRINT your confirmation email or you will be turned away. You will also need the credit card used to purchase your tickets and your valid photo ID. If you prefer to get yourself to the festival via other means (for example walking, biking, or being dropped off by car), you can bring your confirmation email directly to the Will Call area of the festival box office on Randall’s Island (near Lot C of Icahn Stadium). If you didn’t receive your confirmation email, first check to see if it got accidentally caught by your Spam filter, and if not, please contact Front Gate Tickets by visiting http://support.frontgatetickets.com or by calling 888-512-SHOW.
Getting to the Festival
Please note that if you purchased a pass that included Shuttle Bus transportation, you will not be able to take the Ferry. If you purchased a pass that included Ferry Transportation, you will not be able to take the Shuttle Bus.
Ferries and Shuttle Buses travel to and from Randall’s Island Park for all three days throughout the day. These services will be non-stop starting at 10am each morning and they will run a little after the festival is over to ensure that everyone is able to make it back to Manhattan.
Shuttle Buses will leave from and return to East 126th St at 3rd Avenue in Manhattan. The trip only takes about 10 minutes. Ferries depart from East 35th Street Ferry Landing located at the intersection of East 35th Street at the FDR Drive. The trip takes about 25 minutes.
A Special Note for Groupon & Living Social customers: The deal you purchased does NOT include transportation, so you’ll need to know how to make your way to Randall’s Island. The Electric Zoo Ferries and Shuttle Buses are reserved for those customers who purchased their pass directly from Electric Zoo. But there are still plenty of options for getting to the festival. Read on…
MTA Bus
The MTA is New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which operates the subways and city buses. Use the MTA’s Trip Planner+ to plan your trip and refer to the “Service Status” box for real time updates. You can also call 511 for automated travel information 24/7; agents are available from 6 AM to 9 PM daily. If you are hearing impaired, use your preferred relay service provider or the free711 relay.
Walking, Biking, or Driving
You can also walk, bike, or drive to the festival. Cyclists and pedestrians can make their way to the festival by walking across the footbridge from E. 103rd St. in Manhattan onto Randall’s Island Park. It takes about 20-25 minutes to walk from the Manhattan side of the footbridge to the festival entrance. Pedestrians can also walk across the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge from Manhattan (about 15 minutes), Queens (about 30 minutes), or the Bronx (about 15 minutes). BICYCLISTS PLEASE NOTE: Bikes are NOT allowed on the ferry or buses. Bike parking is South of the RFK Bridge Pedestrian Walkway, near the Ferry Landing on Randall’s Island. Follow signs from the main festival entrance.
Parking on Randall’s Island will be very limited – if you plan on driving, you should purchase a parking pass in advance. You will only need 1 parking pass per vehicle – you do not need a parking pass for each person in your vehicle. There is NO OVERNIGHT PARKING and NO TAILGATING allowed on Randall’s Island.

Keep left onto the Harlem River Drive, then stay straight to take FDR Drive South to the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge. On the Bridge, E-Z Pass users should stay left for the exit to Randall’s Island Park, immediately after the toll plaza. Those paying cash at the toll should stay to the right and take the entrance ramp to Randall’s Island Park located about a half-mile past the toll plaza on the right hand side.
