With a three-track EP release planned for some time early in 2018, Amsterdam-based producer and artist OIJ gives us a first glimpse as to what to expect, via the release of his brand new single, “Elation.” The track sees OIJ joining forces with composer Tienus (who was involved in Kygo’s hit single ‘Firestone’) and legendary Dutch outfit Cubicolor.
A delicate yet warm vocal plays out over some stripped back production – a marching, stomping bassline and intertwining melodic edits give “Elation” a real dance-pop feel. As a tone setter for what is to come, “Elation” will certainly give OIJ a strong end to 2017 with more treats on the way next year – it’s out now and you can stream it here.
