Back to the Future With Oliver’s Nu Disco Tour de Force “Fast Forward”

Deep house is now a necessity on the EDM food pyramid. One or two servings a day will keep you healthy and keep your body from revolting against hours and hours of “big room” and “festival bangers” that with too much, can affect your attitude, your attire, and may have you end up being at the main stage all day. No, no, no, no, no.

But another genre that has been gathering a lot of attention, and is a blessing for such super fans as myself, is nu disco. Influenced by house, disco, boogie, and electro house, it’s almost impossible to resist the urge to put on your roller blades and go full Saturday Night Fever in your office.

Today one of the freshest nu disco artists is Oliver. These chaps really understand and know their history of disco and boogie. If you want proof, go listen to their Generations of Disco Mixtape. Few artists could flawlessly mix together such timeless classics and mix them in an appealing way as these gents have.

And now that’ your nu disco meter is warmed up, it’s now time to check out the new song “Fast Forward” off of their upcoming Light Years Away EP set to drop on 9/9. Building with a synth bumps, strumming electric guitars, and the funkiest bass that’ll get you going no matter, what, Oliver has done it again. Fast forwarding is the last possible thing that comes to mind with this track.
