Oliver Heldens has been quite the busy fellow the last 12 months, dropping reworks left and right, with ears and feet celebrating every single one. Today is no different with his infectious new remix to Sofi Tukker’s collab with Alisa Ueno, Nervo and The Knocks called “Best Friend.” The original has over 21 million plays on Spotify, and you might have heard it played on a commercial for something called an “iPhone X.” No biggie.

Sofi Tukker had to say about the remix;

“This version of the song came about just like the song did: organically! Oliver reached out to us on Twitter and asked if we were still doing remixes and Tucker almost fell off his seat. It’s fitting because he is known for being the nicest guy and about the good vibes. The song is all about friendship and collaboration and we love how it has continued to spark that! Now we’ve made a new friend. That’s the coolest thing ever. ”

Oliver Heldens steps in on this one to lift the track to a heavier dance floor feel, with stuttered and deeper bass, vocal clips from the original, and a downright happy feel of shouting throughout. This one instantly had us moving, and we’re sure to hear it played out by many as the year goes on.
