After releasing “Last All Night (Koala),” and his Zeds Dead collaboration, “You Know,” Oliver Heldens delivers another smash record, “Melody,” and it’s something different from what we’ve come to expect from the Dutch star. He’s traded his powerful, tech-house sound for a sonic sophistication that would catch the ear of listeners well beyond his age. For “Melody,” Oliver moves through a string arrangement before reaching a striking, piano-driven drop with basslines as the sturdy backbone.
