On Tuesdays We Techno, Volume 44: Roberto Capuano, UMEK, Andrea Oliva & More

In this week’s lineup of On Tuesdays We Techno, we’ve got a handful of tenacious selections that are hard-hitting, frenetic, and will be sending shock waves through the warehouses all season long.

Getting us into the groove of our spiral is Roberto Capuano with his ever-so-poignant piece “On Your Skin,” one that’s bound to wake your senses one stab at a time. This killer is part of the Neapolitan’s latest four-track EP The Walker, marking his return to the Drumcode label since 2015.

Sweeping us up from here is UMEK with some quite literal Filth on Acid via the title track of his newly released Managing the Moments EP. The Slovenian legend has mustard up another warehouse stomper and continues his streak to never disappoint.

Next up is another title-track stunner from Andrea Oliva’s new The Repeater EP on Truesoul. The original felt most fitting for this spiral, built around persistent synth stabs made for sweat box moments. But if you’re looking for something more intense or heavier, label favorites Oscar L and Marco Faraone offer up their own superbly crafted renditions that’ll suit your needs.

Our spiral then takes a turn into the more euphoric realms with the Kölsch remix of Adam Beyer’s “What You Need.” The Danish native has taken this long-time Drumcode fan favorite and turned it into a melodic weapon that magnetizes you with its ethereal feels and sensational string sequences.

Finally, Thomas Schumacher drives us home with a frenetic shock to our systems via his remix of CAITLIN’s “Far From Home.” Featuring bits of the haunting original vocals, this rendition is an electrifying showpiece that’s sure to be on repeat for the foreseeable future.
