In our latest volume of On Tuesdays We Techno, we’re featuring two Berlin-based beauties with their latest EPs that are sure to offer your senses something a bit more raw and unique.
Fabio Florido swoops in first with his exquisitely crafted four-track EP Subtle Realms, the inaugural release on the artist’s first record label RUNA. From the racing, ethereal sounds of the title track to the acid-dripped gratification of its closer “Surrender,” this powerful EP is one that must be listened to from beginning to end, with no shortcuts. The now matured Richie Hawtin protégé said of this work:
“I’ve experienced a surge of creativity in recent months and RUNA will give me the freedom to release music as it comes, and introduce different parts of who I am through new aliases.”
Following Fabio Florido’s footsteps with a dominant force is the valiant Juliet Fox with Hologram. Marking her second release for Filth on Acid, this EP is concocted of three stunners made to light sparks on the darkest and dirtiest of dancefloors. From the tense and relentless percussion in the opening track “Through The Pain, ” to the more melodic, fast-paced groove of “Dreaming Inception,” to the sirens going off in “My Imagination,” Hologram has got a little bit of everything a warehouse fanatic lives for.
