The first ear-catcher to the track “Low Life” is the drums: very minimalistic, heavily focused around the snare, ringing in familiar vibes to bands like Explosions in the Sky.
The shuffled marching band pattern slowly dissipates and dissolves within the overpowering timbre of an entrancing string acapella, crafted to perfection as to share similar qualities to well produced synthesizers trying to serve the same purpose. The most standout feature of the 2 minute aural journey is the lack of percussion once the song brings in the droning melody, which causes the individual timbres of the heavily processed guitar chords to stand out in the listener’s ear.
