London-based producer, Opal City, has been releasing on Hebinomichi this past year and has now moved onto releasing an exclusive track “Astral Travel” on Free Spirit Vol. 1. It is one of those tracks that has the obscurity of putting a definite genre to it, but it undeniably has a hip-hop influence to it with sprinkles of funk. Whatever the reason, Opal City has doubtlessly unified the whole track together seamlessly.
Free Spirits Vol.1 is the first of many to come, free compilations by Spirited Records. Featuring exclusive tracks from Diamond Eyes’ soulful future pop tones on “U & I” to SteLouse’s RnB flip of “Be Honest,” the spectrum of genres is endless.
