Ophelia Delivers Dual Release with Gareth Emery Remix and Amidy & HALIENE Collab

Ophelia Records has brought us some holiday cheer this week with a dual release, featuring Gareth Emery’s remix of Fatum and Dylan Matthew‘s “Train to Nowhere” and a collaboration between Amidy and HALIENE on their new single, “Already Home”. For those that celebrate, we hope you got your fill on some delicious foods because today you can now fill up on some delectable tracks. Hot off the heels of Ophelia Presents: Advent Volume II that featured 14 new artists, the imprint has refused to slow down on delivering us music every week for just about all of 2020.

On Wednesday, the trance tastemaker Gareth Emery flexed his remix muscles and brought that special touch that has made him a legend. The UK producer has been bringing crowds together and easily landed himself amongst EDM’s top producers in the world for the past decade. From topping charts across the world with renowned albums such as Northern Lights, Drive, and 100 Reasons to Live to throwing down unforgettable sets at the biggest festivals in the world like EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Transmission and many more. Just this year we got to see his fourth album, THE LASERS, to go hand in hand with a brand new live setup we hope to see once we can rave together again.

For “Train to Nowhere” he doesn’t hold back on his artistry. He kicks it up a notch with sharp synths stabbing into the track before bringing that blissful melody and Dylan Matthew’s powerful vocals back in. We then get to hear all of these beautiful elements of trance take form and we’re ready to jump around our living rooms as we are met with a huge wave of energy going into the drop. We also found ourselves going ahead and listening to the extended mix because it just gets better with every listen.

Fo today, we have a first time collaboration between Amidy, who we were first introduced to from the first Advent volume, and rising trance and melodic dubstep vocalist HALIENE. Nolan Atkins has been growing his melodic bass career since 2016 and has now garnered over 10 million streams as well as collaborations with Trivecta, Au5, William Black, and Karra. HALIENE has seen massive success with her radiant vocals elevating tracks with high profile producers like Armin Van Buuren, Markus Shultz, Ophelia label head Seven Lions, Tritonal, Illenium, and Morgan Page.

“Already Home” makes us feel just that, with a harmonious blend of trance, melodic dubstep, and HALIENE’s voice carrying us through. Delicate synths slowly rise around us and we feel our journey begin with the kick up of layered rhythms. We can definitely see this track getting played out at future festivals as both an emotional testament to our rave fam and a reminder that we finally made it back to our real home.
