Oscar Del Amor is taking the reins of his music career by releasing his own original work. His most recent drop, “Fall”, is an excellent representation of how his style has grown into a perfected blend of indie, pop, and dance. Del Amor is an LA-based producer that had his start in the industry as an audio engineer, working alongside heavy hitters like Diplo and Skrillex. He’s been featured on label’s such as Hardwell’s Revealed Records, Bare Chill Records, and Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music. Needless to say, he knows his way around the boards and is well versed in layering tracks to get the sound he’s looking for. You may recognize his work from his last big release with Jaki, “What We Wanna Do”, which reached #29 on Billboard’s Dance Club Top 50 list.
Oscar has teamed up with Nelson’s strong, gorgeous voice once again for their new single “Fall”. The track starts off with a floating synthesizer and relaxed beat paired with Nelson’s airy vocals. It continues on to a vivid buildup and drops into a colorful explosion of synth scales. The bass keeps you grooving and the warmth of the melody captures the essence of the lyrics, describing the serenity that is found after a relationship with a lover that has come to an end. Keep him on your radar because he has that distinct dance floor sound mastered.
Del Amor had this to say about what the track,
“We often find ourselves sort of lost after a breakup and that we are still holding onto that other person somewhere in our hearts or mind. Fall is about coming to peace with the changes of breaking up and still holding a bit of space for that lost someone.”
