On the surface, the collaboration of Paper Diamond and Loudpvck seems a little illogical. How can two artists with completely different sounds come together to create something worthwhile? Turns out, the two are fully capable of a musical love child. The first time I listened to “Wylin,” all I heard was Loudpvck. Heady trap beats that make you want to gangster-lean are characteristic of the New York City-based duo Loudpvck, and “Wylin” is laced with these elements. After listening a third time I found Paper Diamond hiding subtly in the background in the creative rearranging of bass-heavy melodies.
“Wylin” is a party anthem if I’ve ever heard one. This is the kind of track I listen to when I’m looking for a quick EDM fix, something strong to get my buzz going.
