This powerful track has ascended to the top of our must-listen list throughout the past few days and we thought it appropriate to finally give it the acknowledgment it so deserves. Not only is “Dorian” atmospheric, it is also insanely groovy. Filled with disco embellishments and classic house mechanisms, Jimmy Rouge does this track justice.
Although this is a fairly new release, we thought it best to showcase it this week on Past to Present since we not only like to exhibit forgotten classics, but also music that profoundly shifts the soul. Like meeting someone new and feeling like you’ve known them forever, Jimmy Rouge’s “Dorian” embodies that same sentiment. The best part you ask? Rouge is the DJ and producer behind Orange Tree Edits, so listeners can expect more where “Dorian”came from (hell yea!).
