A tune true to its roots, “The Queen On Her Throne” is crazy, funky, and full of love. It combines old school vibes with a new school flare that is hard not to dance to. The track was released on Brooklyn-based label Razor-N-Tape and was conveniently produced by one of the label’s heads JKriv. This track is one of three on the EP titled JKriv Edits.
JKriv is no stranger to the construction of an exceptional old school track, he has been building his sound for the past several years and while disco can sound familiar at times, he constructs each track to be experienced differently. Best enjoyed on a nice pair of speakers, headphones, or turntables, “The Queen On Her Throne” emphasizes the disco revival going on in today’s world. Although the track was released quite a long time ago, it still doesn’t take away (maybe even adds to the fact) that disco-house fusion is making a comeback– and its here to stay. Needless to say, JKriv did exceptional job at combining foundational elements to make a timeless sound that will forever live in the hearts of fans everywhere. Cheers to him!
